People are all too familiar with many forms of anti-cannabis propaganda. Just one hit off of a marijuana cigarette can make you want to kill your brother. It will make you seek out sexual relationships with musicians and entertainers. Cannabis is the preferred drug of the degenerate races. When none of that works, let’s tell them that smoking weed will lower their sperm count. Or that it will dampen their ability to have sex. These are some of the ridiculous propaganda techniques governments have employed during their attempted eradication of cannabis also known as the War on Drugs.
Today if anyone with half a brain watched Reefer Madness they would laugh their asses off. While some of this can seem very comical, it has sadly influenced the thinking of millions. Telling people that cannabis will lower their sperm count has always been a laughing matter. One minute they say the stuff will make you crave sex. The next minute they say it’ll hamper your ability to perform. Speaking as a long-term proud pothead and father of seven children I would like to say I think the suggestion that cannabis lowers your sperm count is just stupid. Apparently, I’m not alone. Recently a reproductive health study came into light from a group of Harvard medical researchers.
What The Study Concluded
The study says that those who smoke weed have better sperm than those who don’t. Okay, it didn’t say better, but it did say that people who smoke weed had higher sperm concentration. The overall count was higher in comparison to squares who fell victim to decades of government propaganda and programming. Leave it to Harvard to make a study credible and legit. The study didn’t just take place overnight and run a few weeks with some random people, it took place over the course of 18 years. Between 2000 and 2017, 662 subfertile males who had all been enrolled as part of the Massachusetts General Hospital Fertility Center were investigated by Harvard researchers.
You might call cannabis a jack-of-all-trades after 1,143 semen samples were taken. Of those 1,143 semen samples, 365 of the participants admitted to smoking weed. Those who admitted to getting high “had significantly higher sperm concentration than men who had never smoked marijuana” according to the study’s results. To make matters even more confusing, researchers discovered that FHS or follicle-stimulating hormone counts responsible for promoting the production of sperm we’re lower in cannabis consumers vs. non-consumers. What made this baffling was how cannabis consumers had higher sperm concentrations and counts yet had lower FSH levels.
