Can Cannabis Improve The Memory In Underperformers

January 28, 2019 By Davie Dabbs aka Popeye Leave a Comment

We all have those friends that are, well kind of lazy – right?!? They are underperformers that aren’t necessarily the sharpest or most motivated individuals out there. What if cannabis could help them? Wouldn’t it be amazing if smoking cannabis could help turn underperformers into overachievers? Well hold your horses for just a second and don’t expect cannabis to turn lazy people into motivated ones. However, one study published by the NCBI suggests that cannabis smoke can improve memory performance in underperformers.

The Study

The first thing you might think of is that somewhere a group of medical professionals got a bunch of lazy stoners together and got them high to see if it gave them the motivation to do anything. That’s not the case though. Although, they did get a bunch of rats very high by blasting them with cannabis smoke to see what type of effects it had on memory performance.

Most of the cannabis studies conducted utilize cannabinoid injections instead of cannabis smoke. Nobody in their right mind shoots up cannabis and the method most prefer is smoking. Because of this, researchers thought it might be a good idea to check this method’s effectiveness.

Let the Stoning of Rats Begin

So, the stoning of these lucky rats began. The rats, both male and female were introduced to cannabis smoke. When it came to the male rats, there seemed to be no effect on their performance. Female rats, however, were a different story. The Cannabis smoke enhanced the working memory accuracy in female rats quite significantly.

Females are Leading the Green Rush

Women have dramatically influenced the cannabis industry. Some might even say that women are dominating this new industry. It is uniquely coincidental that a study shows the effectiveness of cannabis smoke to increase enhanced working memory accuracy in females? Apparently, science has discovered something people have known for years – females kick ass and can kick even more ass when they smoke some cannabis!
