Cannabis and celebrity endorsements are a huge thing in the United States. Music entertainers such as Corrupt, Wiz Khalifa, and Snoop Dogg are familiar names in cannabis dispensaries. Other celebrities such as Melissa Etheridge and Whoopi Goldberg have also entered the cannabis space. When it comes to celebrities and cannabis endorsements in Canada, this is a tricky area. Canada has strict guidelines about how cannabis is allowed to be marketed, and those guidelines do not include celebrity endorsements. Instead, companies have found a loophole making celebrities partners rather than just purchasing their likeness or right to use their name.
