Apparently, people with too much money will spend their money on anything! Like $255 million dollars on a project trying to convert cane sugar into cannabis compounds. Research like this is happening in the name of creating a consistent and sustainable cannabis product. When companies do shit like this, it makes some of us wonder if these people even understand the industry. The industry in which they claim to be so professional and knowledgeable about.
Industrial hemp is the source for cannabidiol or CBD that has become a new craze in the United States and elsewhere. Consumer reports claim that CBD helps with everything from stress and depression to anxiety, inflammation, and more. Studies published on the NCBI and elsewhere also help to provide credit to the many potential therapeutic benefits of CBD.
“Human experimental findings support preclinical findings, and also suggests a lack of anxiogenic effects, minimal sedative effects, and an excellent safety profile.”-NCBI
“They” Feel Fermentation & Synthetization Is Better Than A Natural Plant
To the fear of many grassroots cannabis advocates and activists, the genetic modification and manipulation of plant compounds are becoming a heavy focus of researchers and private sector investors. Amyris is looking into ways of converting sugar cane into phytocannabinoids like CBD and others. Their goal is to take the plant out of the equation replacing it with sustainable regulated CBD transformed from cane sugar through fermentation technology.
Big business talks about regulating cannabis creating a safe, consistent, and sustainable market. I don’t feel too safe buying weed of any kind from companies with names like Amyris, Cronos Group, Ginkgo Bioworks or any other weird sounding scientific medical research names. Truthfully, I’m more confident from buying my cannabis products from Jane or John Phuckin Doe!
Cannabis Plants – Safer Than Sugar Cane
News flash for corporate investors and so-called cannabis experts with a few years in the “industry” under their belt! Don’t you know that cane sugar nearly destroyed the Florida Everglades? That farming sugar cane is responsible for facilitating slavery, deforesting, and it devastates an ecosystems biodiversity? ~Face Palm~ WTF?! Industrial hemp grows like a weed and doesn’t require pesticides and fertilizers. Why would you want to grown sugar cane over hemp? My guess is it’s either because you have a hard time reading or you’re just a victim of propaganda.
When jumping into the CBD craze, the one thing these corporate cuss words seem to be missing out on is how cannabis actually works. The therapeutic benefits of cannabis are not found in any one isolated compound. Isolated cannabinoids tend to suck. Often, they produce poor results if any from isolation. Whole plant therapy is what achieves the most successful outcomes from cannabis for most consumers. This is why the gold standard of CBD isolate of yesterday has changed to a full spectrum CBD today for many.
These corporate cuss words are missing out on the most therapeutic advantage of cannabis offered. That advantage is sharing it with a bud. The feeling you get laughing, telling stories, and just chilling with a friend while enjoying weed can’t be replicated or stuck into any form of pharma. It’s an experience that has to be felt firsthand. If you’ve never given it a shot, you might want to try it sometime. At least before cannabis isn’t cannabis anymore and has been replaced by synthetic compounds that were genetically manipulated through processes such as fermentation technology.
