If you’ve ever walked through a crowd and someone nearby fired up some extra dank goodness, chances are your sniffer started sniffing. If your sniffer is anything like mine, you can smell weed and locate it to the drop of a dime when it’s floating in the air.
This is all made possible thanks to a magnificently magical marvel of temptingly tasty terpenes. Terpenes are responsible for giving cannabis the aroma that so many of us have come to love. When you give your sack of nugs a smell, your nose knows what’s up for the most part. With a good whiff of the bud at hand, you can usually tell if it’s going to be up your alley.
Combine that whiff of a sniff of those nugs with a visual inspection for a blanket of frosty sparkly glandular trichomes as these are an excellent sign of massive resinous production packed full of cannabinoids.
The Nose Knows
If your bud passes the sniff test and visual inspection, it’s bound to not only taste great but to get you stoned to the bone too. Don’t just sniff your sack once and give it a visual inspection and call it a day. Take the time to savour the aroma. You can do so utilizing this 3 sniff method.
What you’re going to do is smell your bud three different times.
The first sniff will be a quick short one to get the scent into your nose. Good bud will have an appealing aroma that is very distinguishable.
The second sniff will be a slightly longer sniff which will help move the scent to the higher up the nose starting to get past the nose hairs.
The third and last sniff will be a long and deep one that will pull the aroma to the back of the nose almost resting on your palette.
You’d be surprised as most the time your nose won’t lie. Plus, you’ll get the added extra benefit of having the magical aroma of cannabis stuck in your nose hairs which is sure to make you smile.
